Far more than just a cafe…

We could use words like ‘Social enterprise’ or ‘Not-for-Profit’, but what does that even mean?

What it means is that we work incredibly hard to generate profits and invest those profits back into supporting the Warrandyte community. You, the community, are our shareholders and we like you want our hard-earned money to go into making Warrandyte the best it can be.

We hope you love knowing that the coffee and food you just purchased will be fed back into the community where it’s needed most.

You know that the good food, good coffee and good company that’s happening every day in our little community cafe is the gift that keeps on giving as we all work at making this world a better place, one sip and bite at a time.

So grateful for you support

Team NaNY

  • “A great community cafe with beautiful staff! Always helping others and putting the community first! We love you NaNY!!”

    Annette’s heartfelt tribute to NaNY

  • “I love a good brunch sesh, and I’m glad I tried out this gem. We got the Eggs Benedict and I honestly loved it. The eggs were poached so perfectly and the whole meal was fantastic.I’m sure when I return next time I’ll be sure to try something else on the menu 💚”

    Sophie's Brunch Adventure at NaNY

  • “Terrific salads and a good brekkie offering are the highlights here for me. A Warrandyte favourite for many.”

Angela’s take on Now and Not Yet

We are a social enterprise that is committed to people. What that means is that we do all we can to run a profitable business so that we can see positive change, not only through the activity of the business but from the profits we generate.

Our areas of passion and impact work…

Disability support

We aim to employ, train and provide adequate working environments for the those with disabilities in need of employment.

Asylum Seeker Advocacy

Through events, advocacy, fundraising and general support, we seek to provide for local refugee families in the Warrandyte area.

Meeting Community Needs

Think food vouchers, housing services, or even some casual counselling assistance… we’re a bit ad hoc here at NaNY. Having said that, some of our community work we just won’t advertise for the dignity of the people we work with. We’re sure you can understand.

Sound Good?

What’s in a name?

Social Brew represents what our coffee is all about. People!

People are social and what happens around coffee is incredibly special; in fact, many say the social connections over coffee every day are even spiritual.

The other aspect of the name is that our coffee roastery is part of our social enterprise, so our coffee helps see positive social change in the community.

So for us, there’s a lot in our name.
